Oh, it's probably been a couple of weeks ago, that we were standing on the deck out our back door, and we saw a little Whitetail Deer fawn. We thought that putting up our electric fence had made the deterred the deer. Fortunately, that wasn't the case! The fawn was oh, I don't know...the width of our pasture is probably the length of 2 1/2 acres, and it was at our treeline where our fence ends. It couldn't have been much bigger (if ANY bigger) than our Lab cross puppy was. Our puppy stood (At her head) about 24 inches tall. It still had it's white cameoflauge spots, but, I suppose they don't lose those until they're almost a year...correct? Thats what I heard anyway. But, anywho, I was out a bit later, and I saw Momma Whitetail come back for her little fawn and then they left our pasture.
It might not be as exciting for some, but it was awfully exciting here!

Re: Whitetail Fawn
That is pretty exciting. We still get excited every time this one female deer walks by our front window.
I've never seen one that young before though, besides in pictures or at zoos.

I know! I need to have my camera on me more often. There is just so many amazing things that happen, even on our 10 acres.millipede wrote: You should have gotten some pictures

yeah... It seems I see some pretty interesting stuff when I don't have my camera with me.
