Seed/Plant Catalogs

Post by millipede »

I made a page to list websites where you can purchase seeds and plants. You should see the link at the top of the page. Feel free to check it out.
Also, let me know if you have any other companies you'd like me to add to the list.

I've bought young trees from Gurneys before and really liked them. I've never bought seeds anywhere but locally.

Thanks nicki, I got that one added now. I've gotten catalogs from them before... So far I had only added the ones I could remember or find. I know there's more, I'll just add them as I find or remember them.

CB, did you kill the plants or something?

No a guy that sprayed the church building (we lived beside the church) well he sprayed weed killer in the air on the weed on the wall and it fell on my plant and the next day they were shrivelled up... They were beside the Gymnasium when they were ruthlessly killed! Haha

well that's a shame.

If any of you come across any other places I need to add to the plant/seed catalog/site list, let me know.

Great. Let me know if you have something I don't have on the list yet.

I found another one today that I hadn't heard of. It's called Victory Seed Company.
They're another one that has heirloom seeds
Speaking of...
I wasn't sure if I mentioned what that is in case anyone didn't know.
Heirloom plants/seeds are plants that are passed down over many generations. Some of them are rarer and go back hundreds of years.
Many people prefer to use plants like that instead of plants that have just recently been created.
I'll be ordering some heirlooms this year.
Again, just let me know if anyone has any more to add and I'll add them.

Hello, Milipede!

Here are three places I have purchased seeds from with excellent results. I usually purchase heirloom varieties.

R H Shumway (purchased clovers, grains, veggie seeds) http://www.rhshumway.com/
Select Seeds (flower seeds) http://www.selectseeds.com/
Burpee (veggie seeds & asparagus crowns) http://www.burpee.com/
