I wish I could landscape the world
I was just reading earlier that the amazon jungle is shrinking fast... real fast. Thousands or acres disappearing every year. On top of that, the Sahara desert is spreading each year. Which would also mean less plants over there each year.
I don't have to tell you how many trees get cut down in our own country. Everywhere you go there's new stuff being built all the time. They just clear things out like crazy... all in the name of progress
Anyway... I could go on and on about that... but I wont.
I just wanted to encourage everyone to plant more trees. Do something good for the environment, and yourself. Plant some trees. You'll love it... the birds and other wildlife will love it.
I bought a few things the other day. It's too bad it all costs so much money
But I bought a red maple, a crab apple, a cherry, a peach, a plum, a pear, a redbud, and a few more... I have most of them in the ground already... but I have a few more I need to plant still. I'm excited. I'll try to get some pictures of them soon.

I know, I always get so mad when I see new subdivisions being built all over the place...its not like we don't already have more than enough houses anyway
We usually get at least one tree (usually more) every year and plant it...we've got quite a few different kinds in our yard.

yeah, those subdivisions drive me crazy... I could never live in one.
Then I see lots of businesses go in... they clear everything, and maybe plant a few decorative things.
I hope we can get more and more people to plant trees if they have a place to.
oh, I still need to get pictures of some of mine don't I? I should be able to finish planting them this weekend.

Well they cut trees off there property for money and say they are helping out the enviroment by planting more... i highly doubt they have enviroment on there mind... I wish i could plant some trees in our yard but we are renting right now...

fortunately, people are taking notice and trying real hard to change things... but for a while, the governments in south america would take away people's land if they weren't being "productive" with it. So, many people had no choice but to cut their trees down and put in farms.
And to make things far worse... many areas that were cleared out, the trees weren't even used. They were burned
Thankfully there are organizations that are trying real hard to straighten things out... But we all still need to do our part.
I've planted 6 or 7 trees so far this year. I wish I had the money to buy some wide open pasture land, and plant some trees on it.
Now, pasture is important... there are some animals that only live in such habitats... but, we still need to do something more as far as trees go.
People in cities are no exception. Cities are hotter than the area around them, and cities retain a lot of that heat into the night. So at night it is a lot warmer in the city than it is just outside of the city. That's largely because of pavement.
If where you live is TOO hot, plant some trees to give yourself some shade.

Here's a couple of pictures.
The crabapple... Once these open the flowers are actually more of a white color... kind of weird they start out SO pink.
Here's a flower on the cherry, that I think is the only one I haven't got in the ground yet.
That's all for now.

The peach tree I planted only got one flower this year... I'm guessing next year it will be quite beautiful though.
The redbud is starting to come out a bit more... I'll get some pictures of that when it's in full bloom.
