Nice pictures nicki, I have 2 bradford pear trees in my front yard. do you know much about them? someone told me they start breaking limbs after they are about 10 or 12 years old. Is this true?

Bradford pears are pretty notorious for losing limbs or even splitting down the middle in strong winds.

Something I've learned in the last couple years... Bradford pears are not a desirable plant. They're desirable in that they can be found everywhere, grow well, and produce flowers that everyone seems to like... but it turns out they're a semi-invasive species that doesn't benefit local wildlife at all.
It would be wise to plant native flowering trees when possible. :)
