Leopard Frog...

According to my books, this is a Southern Leopard Frog. Found this under some plywood that is next to this little 20 gallon pond I have. Kind of interesting, I believe I had a LOT of tree frogs hatch out of that pond and it's only 20 gallons. Someday, I'll have a REAL pond.

what do you find weird about it? The narrow snout? If I see it again, I can try to get a picture from another angle. The leopard frog is quite a common sight in many states... chances are you've seen them before, hopping across streets and such.

He's fat in the body and skinny in the nose. I guess that's why he's odd looking. I don't think I've ever seen one before.

there's a few types of frogs that have those lines on them... and plenty that have a skinny nose like that. I think you girls just don't pay that much attention to frogs :P

I pay attention to frogs! Like at a cc meet I found a frog and named it Herman, then I showed it to our whole team and released it back "into the wild!"
