Say what now? I'm still working on things here and this one, well it was not turned on but installed with phpbb on its own but I checked it out and decided to try it out. Basically, it converts and even creates links on this site IF they feel something could possibly be monitized. If someone posts a link to an item, it may change the url when someone clicks it and take them to an affiliate site so that we here at BYF could make a commission if someone actually purchased something.
I have mixed feelings about the whole thing but at the same time, I don't think anyone will notice since there's nobody here and, how many people are going to chase links off my site to shop? So, they can change links but also create them. The mixed feelings comes from it ending up looking like spam to me. I was looking at a post and the word "bike" had been changed to a link to some shopping site somewhere. I don't think it's going to really mislead or bother anyone if a few words here and there turn into links that COULD help us make a little money... but, if it gets to be a problem I can adjust the settings and even turn it off completely. I don't suspect I'll actually earn anything that way but it never hurts to try.

With all that said... apparently if someone signs up through me, I can get a percent of the money they earn the first year. Something else I doubt would happen but again, doesn't hurt to try. Money is tight... so why not...
