Software updated!

I started Wednesday and JUST got done updating the forum. The automatic update process I normally use did not work. I managed to get most of the files updated but the database got stuck. I was quite frustrated with it for a few days. I had to get support from some people on the phpbb forums.
I had to go back to the last version of the software and then install it fresh, which meant deleting all of the old mods I've put in... So, other pages, chat, flags, some custom colors, and more are all GONE now. That's a bit saddening but it had to be done.
The new version of the software does not use "mods" that you install quite as manually... instead, it uses "extensions" and the two are just not the same. So all the not so compatible mods had to be removed.
Since this new version is, well, NEW... it will be some time before there are many extensions to add. For the moment, there's only 4.
I don't like the way the forum looks as it is right now but I will see about changing some of that, with time.

Anyway... I am sorry it took so long and the board was down but I am excited about having new software and can't wait to try out some new features.

I tried logging in the other day and couldn't so I figured that the update must have been taking a little while. Too bad some of it got lost in the process but at least you got it back up and running!

It stinks it was down for so many days but I'm glad it's back up...
now..... well, now I have a lot more work to do. More spam is coming in and it will take some work to fix that. Procrastination is not a good quality of someone that runs a website.
It will take time but I'll get it done... even if it is slowly. I also need to do a little changing to things like colors. I do not like the default style that comes with the forum software. Changing it to something else is a lot of work though. We'll see what happens.
