my job

Post by timothy78 »

This is my first post, please pray I heal and can get back on my feet. I fell at work 3 months ago. and broke my leg in 2 places.healing is going well! I just pray I will still be able to do my job, I am a cook. need my legs to stand all day. I have a Beautiful wife whom I cherish dearly! I also have 4 teriffic children . 3 daughters, 1 son, and another son on the way due In October. My wife has no problem working but I feel aweful. she should be able to be home with the kids. she never complains. She is a good woman. I know she wants to be home. At least I try to do my best to help around the house. its been hard with one leg but the kids pitch in to help too, even though they are still young. but I guess I was hoping you all could pray that I heal fast so I can get back to work and my wife can stay home. where a woman should be! Then I can feel like a man again! Thank you!

Hey!!! I'm new too.
Is cool to see a section for prayer here.
Will be praying for you and your family. Where in Massachusetts are you from? I'm from Kentucky but I pass through that area a few times a year on business. Very pretty up there.
Do you cook at a restaurant? I'm always looking for a good place to eat while I'm on the road.

Thank you Bob And Millipede. This sight is pretty slow I thought it was going to be nice to get to chat to decent Christian people. but it takes so long for people to respond. whats up with that?

message boards like this can be tricky. It's hard to get them started and active because most people don't want to jump in and participate in a forum that isn't already active.

Millipede , well how can we get this going? I fell some good vibes with this site. Do you think maybe it is just the parts about being Christian that are the true feelings? So how can we get this up and jumping? millpede are you Married? do you have a family? Are you a preacher of some kind? If not what do you do for work? do you have hobbies ect? sorry if I am asking to many questions. just trying to get to know people here. thought I would start with you. maybe this will get some topics started. I have a question. under your name says mr. normal does that have a joke or some special meaning?

It's really hard to say what it would take to get this site going better. What it takes is a lot of people interested in this sort of thing to participate. That's not always easy to do and what people to on the internet changes all the time. Different things become popular all the time. Some people spend a lot of time on blogs... these days a lot of people use twitter and other stuff. I've seen some forums get a lot of use and then sort of fizzle out while others keep growing.
There are places where people can advertise their sites but it usually costs money, something I cannot afford to do. All I can do now is keep myself active on it and tell people about it when I can.

I am married and have a family. I am not a preacher or anything like that. As far as hobbies go, I collect coins, play guitar, and I like to take pictures of nature obviously. Yeah, mr normal is a bit of a joke.
That donation thing is just that, donations. That page is called a portal and it's something I added to this forum. It already had the donation thing added to it and I figured I might as well leave it. Running a website does include a few expenses and sometimes people like to help support websites by making donations. I've never received a donation and possibly never will but it doesn't hurt to have that there. I'm not requesting people donate by any means. It's simply there in case anyone feels led to.
