The black widow...

I have TONS of black widows, so I have TONS of black widow pictures...
This just happens to be one of my most recent pictures. It was under a cinder block or something I was moving. I find them everywhere.
This one is a juvenile... you can get an idea of its size by the pill bug next to it.

I'll be sure to add more pictures to this sooner or later ;D

Nope... I have one picture with my finger right next to it for size comparison... and another I used a stick to get the spider to dangle so I could get some better pictures of its belly. Anyone even just a little scared of spiders wouldn't get as close as I've gotten at times...

Oh, I just remembered I already had two other images hosted on photobucket so I might as well show them here too ;D

Here's one with my finger pointing at it for size comparison:

And here is one with her egg sac, actually she had four and if you look you can see three of them in the picture:

In case anyone cared to know, they can move fairly fast in their own webs but place them on a smoother surface and they can barely move. The tips of their legs are kind of pointy and they just don't get much traction. Keep one in a glass jar and it really can't go anywhere.
Well, in a glass jar, over time they will fasten some web to the sides allowing them to climb... but before that they can't get out no matter how hard they try.

*shudder and shake*

I'm sorry for being scared of spiders but I am, have been ever since I was little.
