The birds here will eat it up, once they find it. Normally I will see cardinals, woodpeckers, titmice, juncos, sparrows, nuthatches, and a few others.
For the most part I only feed during the winter. That's the only time birds will usually struggle.
I still see birds landing less than 20 feet from the feeder, still finding things on the ground to eat. SO many weeds = so many seeds. While most people don't like weeds, the wildlife loves it.
I am not sure how I feel about suet, like the ingredients in it. And, it isn't cheap for how much you get. And on top of that..... I tried them once or twice and some other wild animals kept stealing it on me.
