Nice birdhouse! I can't wait till we start seeing more bluebirds around here!

Looks nice... I may have to look into a bluebird nest this year... I'd definitely need one of those things to block the squirrels though.

Thanks! i would have more out but they are picky and like there nests 100 feet apart and we dont have that much area... hey milli join an Eastern Bluebird club to get more information on them! The Eastern bluebirds are still having trouble reproducing... like 3000 recorded bluebird eggs were laid and only 1400 made it to adult hood... Its rather depressing and thats why there is a club...

I don't know that I'll join a club, but I'll definitely look into setting up a house or 3.
I don't know where they nest in the wild, I'll have to look into that, but there's not shortage of bluebirds in this area. I haven't seen any yet, but when it's warmer we have plenty around here.
I'll make some effort to make life more enjoyable for them here.

I have two regular houses up in the yard that didn't get any guests last year. :|

squirrels got in there, even with that baffle on there? Wow. I've looked at lowes for one of those to keep squirrels off things, but haven't had any luck yet. I'll have to check the hardware store I guess.
How high should a bluebird box be? I bought one recently, but I still need to get a pole for it, and a squirrel baffle. I think that's what those are called anyway.

I don't know what they were looking at, but I had a pair stop by my feeder real quick yesterday. First bluebirds I'd seen this year so far.

 That's so sad! I love squirrels, but they can be pests at times
