We have a river right down the road, which is why I see some nice birds sometimes

Well... good news and bad news...
Bad news is, I can't put my driveway in right now...
Good news... That little pile of sticks I saw in that cedar tree now has 4 eggs in it. I'll try to get a picture up tomorrow... Of course, just getting the picture wasn't easy. I couldn't get a picture from below the nest... so I looked around... NO good climbing trees around. The best thing I could find, most of the branches I used to climb on were an inch in diameter or less... but, I climbed up in just the same. The pictures didn't come out spectacular... but you can see there's 4 eggs in there.
I really want to get some pictures of the adults but they fly off if I get too close. I may have to see if I can find someone with a deer blind or something I could borrow. They're really pretty birds and it would be nice to get a decent picture.
Anyway... I'm excited... this is right out in my front yard...

I hope so too. Right now I'm thinking the only way that will happen is if I use some sort of blind that hunters use. I just have to see if I can find one I can borrow.

Sure it is. Eggs are like miracles. how something can form inside a hard shell from nothing... Eggs are awsome!

Finally... a picture of the eggs...

But...
That's not all.... :D
What do you see here?
Image
That is taken from the same tree I took the eggs picture from...
But then... Tristan was over yesterday and he chose a different tree to climb... a cedar tree. I climbed it as well, and it was just as scratchy as I expected... but, it yielded better pictures. :D

Some pretty decent detail here:

And here, you can see two beaks and the back of one head:

So, three out of the four eggs hatched. Not too bad.

And here's a super short video:
