yeah, I love the large moths including the luna. And those are some good pictures. I don't think I've ever tried to photograph one from any angle besides the back(though, I haven't had that many photo opportunities with them) and I love seeing more detail. chubby things aren't they...

I was pretty excited how the pics turned out; I have a cheap camera and my pics are usually blurry, but I had the setting on macro and they just happened to turn out pretty sharp :D He stayed in the same spot for several hours - I thought he might have been dying because I don't normally see them out in the open in the middle of the day like that but later on he was gone so I guess he was fine.

Two cameras ago, I got decent photos with the macro setting. It's handy. Since then I always try to get a camera with good macro settings. I love to take pictures of things up close like that.
