Hey, did you notice? There's a picture of me there... Part of my hand is in that picture, you should feel honored and overjoyed to see it.
I do like taking pictures of turtles, just like any other creature out there. I have pictures of a few snapping turtles, a few red eared sliders, three toed box turtles, and an ornate box turtle... Ooh, I know what I need to get some pictures of... the softshelled turtle. I haven't seen one of those in a while.
yes honored and overjoyed... there are people willing to pay to see my picture... that's pretty close isn't it?
yeah, softshell turtles are pretty cool. I accidentally caught one once. It was a baby... just a few inches across. I saw it moving along the bottom of a creek towards me, so I grabbed it. Very interesting. I kept it in a fish tank for a while as a pet. It would bury itself in the gravel and stick its head out to catch fish swimming by.
Nice turtle. All I've ever really seen is a painted turtle and snappers (we kept one in our cow tank for a while...poor cows). There was a big huge snapper walking aross the road one day when I was with a friend, so we stopped the van and "escorted" it across the road.
Hey, didn't the snapper snap on your cow's tongues when they went to get a drink? lol
My sister and I used to catch turtles and put them in aquariums to keep them as pets but after awhile we would feel bad for cooping them up and we'd turn them loose again.
The turtle scared the cows, but he couldn't bite them, he had a net thingy so he couldn't get to the poor cows---he was just there for a while until some people ate him for soup or something *eyes bug out* EW!
I saw a turtle in a cow's water at an auction once. I have no idea why it was there.
I'll have to dig through my pictures and post more turtle pictures. I have pictures of a snapping turtle(young and old), a red eared slider, three toed box turtles, an ornate box turtle(really want to find more of those)... and I think that might be it... not sure.
