Re: I'm a fun guy(fungi)

I didn't realize that the green in the picture was a blade of grass - that is a tiny mushroom! :o

Re: Eastern Racer (Snake!)

I'll have to do that at some point - i don't think I have any good snake pictures besides that one. It's not all that good, really, but it's kinda funny.

Re: Eastern Racer (Snake!)

Purty! I haven't seen one patterned like that - but it's amazing how you can look right at snakes and not see them.

What's this catapillar?

originally posted Nov 9, 2006 I've found a couple of these "wooly boogers" this year - the only thing that makes them stand out is that they're HUGE! Here's a pic of one that's balled up: http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i260/Birdbrain_photos/showbirds11-06001Small.jpg It was probably 4 i...

Re: Bug Pictures

I didn't know that there was more than the praying mantis, either. Cool! We used to catch bunches of whatever kind of mantis they were, and put them in an aquarium until they laid their eggs. We actually saw a couple lay eggs - kinda weird. And they generally killed whatever males we put in there - ...

Re: Snowy Tree Cricket...

I think I've seen something like that, but I had no idea it was a Snowy Tree Cricket. Interesting name!
