Re: cricket

Well yeah, you're right I guess. ::) ;)

I will say that I've seen some greyish-greenish grubs before though. Or I guess they're cutworms.

Re: cricket

Ooops. ::)

If I'd been paying attention I woulda seen that was celery. I still think it looks a little like a grub... but I see how it's a pill bug. :)

Re: cricket

That cricket sure looks funny... I knew they molted because I've seen the skins they leave behind but I've never seen one just afterwards.

I love the sound crickets make in the summertime. ;)

Springtime

originally posted Dec 7, 2006 Ah, I know... It's winter... or almost winter - and I'm posting pics of spring time. But here's what we have to look forward to! http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p280/ilovesuffolks/4-18-06010Medium.jpg http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p280/ilovesuffolks/4-18-06007Me...

Re: I'm a fun guy(fungi)

If they're minced very fine and disguised in some way I can eat them I guess. I can see why you wouldn't want to eat them in the wild. It could be seriously risky. For some reason when I was little I was just sure I'd come across a Death Angel and somehow I'd be unable to control the urge to eat it ...

Re: I'm a fun guy(fungi)

Ugh, Millipede... that was bad. ::)

The mushroom liked your camera!? What a little show-off! :D Good pics. What kind is it?

I think mushrooms are interesting too... I hate to eat them, but some of the wild varieties are neat. We have lots of big yellow ones around here
