Re: Crustless Pumpkin Pie

Wow, that's a few allergies.
My wife has an egg substitute recipe that uses flax seeds... to substitute for eggs in recipes, not for something that actually tastes like an egg... ha.

Re: Luna Moth

Two cameras ago, I got decent photos with the macro setting. It's handy. Since then I always try to get a camera with good macro settings. I love to take pictures of things up close like that.

Re: Your bird sightings!

WHO is that? ha... It seems that the barred owl is what we see most of the times we see an owl. I'm hoping to see more of some other species soon... I love listening to them when they're in the yard as well... A few weeks ago we had two of them going back and forth in our yard... LOUD... but it was ...

Re: Baby Sparrow

I'm not a big fan of house sparrows but young birds are always cute. Glad you put it back. A lot of people have this idea that you can't touch a baby bird but it's an old wives tale...

Re: Wrens

Cute... Any pictures of the adults? I'm guessing they're carolina wrens as they're quite common but I can't be sure. Wrens sometimes will have young twice in a year and they do nest in some interesting places. I had some nesting inside a washing machine in our yard one year. I just love baby birds...

Re: Black rat snake

I don't see many copperheads... but, snakes can be defensive. More people are bitten while trying to either handle or kill a snake than just randomly. If you see copperheads around your property, you might want to look around and figure out what they like, and then change it. It may help. Here in Ar...

Re: Black rat snake

I understand that frustration... we lost a fair amount of birds to predators and it was always upsetting. I even got mad enough to kill a snake once. Generally, I love snakes and don't like that but, I lost my cool that day. What I TRY to do and TRY to share with other people is that prevention is t...

Re: Gray tree frog

I LOVE tree frogs. Amphibians in general fascinate me. I'm a little jealous of where you live as there are more species of tree frog there. In this part of Arkansas we really have the gray tree frog. In other parts of Arkansas we have the green, cope's gray, and the bird-voiced. Several years back w...

this sounds good too. We may have to try it. It's been a while since I've had pumpkin bread but it can be good. :)
