Re: My Pets

you can see that person's name... it was a spammer. I think I deactivated their account(I think) but left up some of their posts as they weren't all spammy.
I imagine they might actually have a cat though.

Ferguson: Please read this...

Dear everyone, Actually, I wish I could personally address Michael Brown's family about some thoughts that I have... but while I was thinking about them, I had even more thoughts that made me stop and change my perspective just a little. ( please read this ENTIRE thing as I will start out with some ...

Soapbox rules...

Well, I don't know if this is worth starting an entire topic about but, I would like to explain somewhere the purpose and "rules" of this section of the forum. I was just thinking of starting a topic about something and the best place I can often think of for some of my posts is the "...

Re: Software updated!

It stinks it was down for so many days but I'm glad it's back up... now..... well, now I have a lot more work to do. More spam is coming in and it will take some work to fix that. Procrastination is not a good quality of someone that runs a website. :( It will take time but I'll get it done... even ...

Software updated!

I started Wednesday and JUST got done updating the forum. The automatic update process I normally use did not work. I managed to get most of the files updated but the database got stuck. I was quite frustrated with it for a few days. I had to get support from some people on the phpbb forums. I had t...

Re: Black rat snake

aren't the triangular heads usually on venomous snakes or am I wrong? generally speaking, you're right. Some snakes will flatten their heads out though... which I think is neat. I've seen rat snakes vibrate their tails in the grass and leaves trying to sound like a rattle snake... the hognose snake...

Re: Black rat snake

When I was a kid, my cousin and I were playing in the creek at my aunt's house and before I knew it, a big cottonmouth struck at me. I'm not going to question your ability to ID a snake back then... but want to mention that cottonmouths don't strike very often. Their initial reaction is to just sit...

Re: Your bird sightings!

That would be awesome. Around here, barn owls can be found but are not very common. My memory is far from perfect so I can't recall every bird I ever saw... but as far as I can remember, I'm not so sure I've seen a barn owl. It's on my list of birds I want to see. Side note: I'm going to post an ann...

Re: Ruby-throated hummingbirds

I love watching hummingbirds. We don't have any feeders in our yard but the wild plants we allow to grow draw some in.

It's tough taking pictures though a window. There's still good detail there though. :)
